Product usage
How many fire starter rolls do I need for a charcoal chimney?
One Classic roll lights a full standard 30 cm chimney, ready in 15–20 minutes; the Long Burn roll’s 20-minute flame covers a second chimney as well.
How do I light a fire starter roll?
Tear off the amount you need or use a full roll, place it under your kindling or charcoal, and light it with a lighter, match or ferro rod spark — no extra kindling or fluid is required.
Which roll size fits which use?
The Compact roll (6-minute flame, 40 g) fits backpacking and small stoves; the Classic (10 minutes, 120 g) covers campfires, fire pits and one charcoal chimney; the Long Burn (20 minutes, 180 g) handles large fire pits, wet hardwood and catering chimney loads.
Weather performance
Do fire starter rolls work when they get wet?
Yes — the vegetable wax coating repels water, so a fully submerged roll still ignites with a lighter, match or ferro rod and burns its full rated time.
How windy is too windy for a fire starter roll?
The Classic holds a flame up to 25 km/h, the Long Burn up to 30 km/h, and the Compact up to 20 km/h — above that, shelter the fire lay; the roll itself keeps burning.
Do rolls work in freezing temperatures?
Yes — wax and wood are unaffected by freezing, which is exactly where gel starters thicken and liquid starters evaporate or spill.
Safety
Is charcoal lit with a fire starter roll safe for grilling food?
Yes — rolls contain only pine wood wool and vegetable wax, with no kerosene, benzene or added odor, so there is no chemical taint on food.
How should fire starters be stored around children and pets?
Lock all starters — rolls included — in a cabinet out of the reach-and-climb zone; rolls are the lowest-risk category because they contain no hydrocarbons, but storage discipline applies to every type.
Can fire starter rolls be used indoors?
No — rolls are for outdoor use and ventilated appliances only; never light one in an enclosed, unventilated indoor space.
Shipping & returns
How fast do wholesale orders ship?
Samples ship in 7 days; bulk orders ship in 15–25 days to US and EU ports (FOB).
What if a shipment has defective rolls?
Manufacturing defects are replaced or refunded on every wholesale order with no restocking fee — photograph the issue and contact support with the batch number.
Can I order samples before committing to volume?
Yes — sample kits with all three roll formats ship within 7 days so you can test ignition in your own conditions before ordering.
B2B / wholesale
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ is 5,000 rolls for the Classic, 3,000 for the Long Burn and 10,000 for the Compact (retail pouches); private label and custom packaging are available from those minimums.
Do you offer private label or custom packaging?
Yes — retail-ready boxes and resealable pouches with your artwork, from MOQ; artwork from your side, dielines and print from ours.
What are typical wholesale price tiers?
Factory-direct pricing runs from $1.50 to $2.80 per roll depending on format and volume — 25–50% below typical retail per-roll cost; request a quote for tiered pricing by volume.
