OEM & private label
OEM and Private Label Fire Starter Rolls
Roll size, wax ratio, burn time and retail packaging built to your specification, made on the same line that makes our own SKUs. Below is every lever you can pull, the order things happen in, and the terms we still need to confirm.
What You Can Specify
Every lever below is set before the first production run, not negotiated after it — tell us the target and we build the roll around it.
Roll diameter and length
Diameter and length together decide how long one roll burns. Common-category sizes run from 20 x 40 mm to 20 x 65 mm.
Roll weight and wood-to-wax ratio
Weight sets unit cost; the ratio sets how fast it takes a flame and how much wax is left to drip.
Wax grade
Melting point is chosen against your climate. Tropical shipping needs a higher softening point than a temperate warehouse.
Winding density
Too loose and loose fibres throw sparks when they burn - one of the failure modes the standard tests for by name.
Burn time target
European BBQ buyers commonly specify 8-10 minutes of steady flame; fireplace programs often ask for longer. Give us the number and we wind to it.
Retail packaging
Bulk, OPP bag, resealable pouch, printed box, tub or PDQ tray. Box counts are set so that "pcs per pack" reads as "fires per pack".
Printing and barcodes
Your logo, EAN or UPC, market-language warnings and handling marks, printed from your artwork file.
Carton and pallet spec
Carton grade, pack-out, mixed-SKU cartons, print for shipping marks and ISPM 15 heat-treated pallets.
The Six-Step Process
Nothing moves to bulk production until you have held the sample that will be shipped.
- Specification We lock size, weight, wax ratio, burn-time target and pack format in writing.
- Quotation and sampling Unit price, tooling or print plate cost, and sample freight are quoted together, with no split later.
- Sample production Rolls are made on the production line, not in a showroom, so the sample matches the run.
- Sample approval We ship a fixed-camera burn video alongside the rolls so you can see flame height and duration before the rolls arrive.
- Production The approved sample becomes the sealed reference for QC on the line.
- Release and documents Pre-shipment inspection, then the shipping set: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and the compliance documents listed below.
What Sets the Minimum Order Quantity
MOQ on this product is set by changeover cost, not by factory pride. These are the three costs that decide it, and each one is negotiable if you move the same lever.
- Print plates and ink A printed box or pouch carries its own printing minimum, independent of the roll count. Neutral bulk packaging removes most of it.
- Line changeover Each combination of roll size, winding density and wax ratio needs its own setup time on the winder. Fewer variables means a lower floor.
- Wax batch size A single melt is economical only above a certain volume. Standardising on our existing wax grade avoids the batch minimum entirely.
Tell us the format you actually need and we quote against that format rather than quoting the highest number on the sheet.

Standard practice in this category is EXW or FOB, with a 30% deposit and the balance against the bill of lading copy; larger orders are sometimes placed against a sight letter of credit. Ask for our terms in writing before you plan a container.
Retail Packaging Formats
Bulk carton
Loose rolls in a master carton, for refilling your own brand packaging at destination.
OPP or resealable pouch
Lowest entry cost, takes a printed label or header card.
Printed box
The usual retail format - box counts are set around the number of fires a household gets through.
Tub
A rigid tub that survives the outdoor aisle and stacks on a shelf end.
PDQ tray
Counter display for checkout and seasonal endcaps.
